Lotus Blossom Clinic Expands Twice in One Month!

A SECOND HEALING LOCATION at Lee Health’s Regional Cancer Center in Ft. Myers

“I am happy to announce that a vision and dream that started in 2008 has become a reality! My wife, Deb, and I began conversations with Lee Health regarding adjunctive acupuncture to help cancer patients at the new Regional Cancer Center being built off Colonial and Six Mile Cypress. Eleven years later it feels good to expand and join the Care Team at Lee Health’s facility.  What’s even better is that they are encouraging me to see patients for any condition at this center.  People from this area of town can now receive acupuncture nearer to their homes and work places.”

– Dr. David Martin, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, AP

This month, Lotus Blossom Clinic is now open for business inside the Lee Health System’s Regional Cancer Center.  Dr. David is providing Chinese Medicine services, including acupuncture and tui na (Chinese medical massage) at the Lee Health Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers, near Colonial and Six Mile Cypress.  This is a General Practice, and he will see patients for all conditions at this location.   Primarily, of course, he was asked to join the care team at the Regional Cancer Center in service to their patients who wish to receive acupuncture as an adjunctive cancer therapy.

With the rising cancer rates, more people are seeking acupuncture for cancer treatment and prevention, including managing the body’s stress level and maintaining healthy body chemicals such as serotonin rather than allowing chronic stress to create too much damaging cortisol in the body.  Acupuncture is proven to lower stress and help manage pain, nausea, neuropathy, mental fog, fatigue, anxiety and more by changing the body’s chemistry and activating the body’s own natural opioids.  Patients often leave feeling as though they have just received a 90-minute massage.  Further, the effects of acupuncture continue for several days. Overtime this can accumulate, leading to a more permanent state of calm (and physical comfort).

CURRENT HOURS OF OPERATION:

Dr. David’s hours are set for Wednesdays from 9:00 – Noon, at this time. Contact us at our main clinic (239) 277-1399 or at Regional Cancer Center (239) 343-9503.  You may be surprised when you hear the Cancer Center number answered with “Cookie’s Place.”  This is the name of the Cancer Center’s gift shop and also the number to make an appointment to see Dr. David.

FEES at Our New Location:   The fee structure is $95 for the first visit, $85 for subsequent visits, and package pricing is also available at $525 for 7 prepaid sessions ($75/session).
